Friday's - Qualifying Sessions

Coming into the O'Reilly Fall Nationals at the Motorplex in Ennis Texas, Doug sits in the 4th spot of the countdown to the Championship.  First round the team puts an old combination from earlier in the season and Doug runs a 6.96 at 190.75 mph for the #3 spot.  The second session Doug lays down a 7.02 at 188.89 mph locking him into the top half of the field in the #4 spot.  With warmer temperatuare expected the team will make the necessary adjustments for Saturday.

Saturday's - Qualifying Sessions

The day begins with warmer temperatures and worse air conditions.  In the third session Doug runs a 7.13 at 189.07 mph to move him to the #5 spot.  With one more qualifying round the team makes more adjustments and Doug posts a 7.01 at 190.75 mph to start from the #5 spot for Sunday's eliminations.

Sunday's - Elminations

As predicted the weather has gotten warmer and the quality of air worse, something the gasoline burning V-Twins find troublesome.  First round Doug is paired with the #12 qualifier, Mike Berry.  Mike leaves early handing the win to Doug who runs a 7.09 @ 186.38 mph.  In the second round Doug runs Matt Smith who has lane choice, unlike the fuel cars both lanes seem somewhat equal.  Doug leave first with a .007 light and runs a 7.068 @ 191.35 mph to Matt's .037 light and 6.997 @ 189.34 mph with Matt taking the win. 

Doug will head to O'Reilly Mid South Nationals at the Memphis Motorsports Park October 2-5 in 5th place in the countdown.
